How it All Started
Steve, the owner of Eden's Best Cat Sitting, started this business in 2017 as a new stay-at-home Dad looking to merge his love for cats with a desire to contribute to his family and community.
He is an Electrical Engineer who left the corporate office to become a High School math teacher and soccer coach, and when his family needed him home to care for his infant son, he began caring for cats in the neighborhood.
It did not take long to find that Silicon Valley had more cat needs than one Dad could manage alone! So he built the Eden's Best Team, filled with other responsible cat enthusiasts who love what they do. We assign sitters mostly by geography, so we can minimize road time and maximize cat time, and we share notes and cover for one another. No matter what comes up, whether it is travel plans, emergencies, or car accidents, we have the redundancy in place to make sure the cats in our charge are well looked after.

Meet the Team
Jennifer Capps
Jennifer has been caring for cats for more than 35 years, starting with bottle-feeding abandoned kittens she found at her church. She is comfortable with every kind of cat and adjusts to each one's personality; the first thing she does when she gets home is hug her own.
At home she has three cats: Sugar and Spice, a brother-and-sister tabby pair she bottle-fed as kittens, and Beans, a big, fluffy, part-Maine Coon she found under a car. Outside of cat sitting, Jennifer is a mom of three boys and loves the beach, baseball games, theater, and traveling.
Isaiah Vega
Isaiah has loved cats since childhood and has been with Eden's Best since 2024. He is comfortable with the full range: shy cats, seniors, cats on medication, and the high-energy ones that keep a sitter busy.
At home he has three cats: Salem and Sofie, a brother-and-sister tabby pair, and Cheeto Puff, a rescue named for his orange, puffy fur. Outside of cat sitting, Isaiah heads to Santa Cruz to fish and hike with his two boys.
Leilani Westall
Leilani has cared for cats her whole life. She grew up on a farm where people often abandoned cats, and her family took them in. She is especially good with senior cats and the extra patience and gentleness they need.
At home she has Cooper, a big, lovable tuxedo cat who was abandoned at the animal clinic where she worked, so naturally she brought him home. Outside of cat sitting, Leilani runs a bloom bar business and plans events for her women's social club, The Bloom Society – Bay Area.
